My Brother Got Hitched

June 17, 2006 - My brother got married.
It was a great day. I'm very, very glad for Paul...and am really glad to call Helen my 'sister-in-law.' She's a wonderful person: unassuming, gracious, kind, and always joyful. I'm very glad and so happy for Paul and Helen.
Check out some pics I took with my new camera. I wish I had a flash, but I think it went okay.

Praying for your Team?

I always felt it wrong (and sometimes guilty) praying for your home team. But apparently in England, the World Cup is good grounds for the Church of England to offer prayers for their "football-ers."
Here's an excerpt:
Lord God, the source of all life and joy, recreation and skill,
we pray for all involved in the World Cup,
and especially for those who represent our nation(Note how the prayer for the Queen's 80th b-day plays second fiddle to TWO prayers for the team in the Tourney!)
Maybe that's why the Canucks are losers: I fear God never heeded those prayers! Ahh...me of little faith.

Self Portrait

Just happened to walk by with my camera, noticed the shadow-letters on the floor, and so wanted to make my mark.
Am wanting to take more photos now. Want to notice things. Want to pause more, sit more, watch more and observe more.
Quite tired these days...and busy. Want to close one eye, look with the other through my viewfinder and find moments with meaning.
